Baby Sees History (kind of)

Brooke and I went to see the Padres play the SF Giants last Saturday night. Although we can’t stand the Giants, it turned out pretty cool because we got to see Barry Bonds* tie Hank Aaron’s all-time home run record of 755. He hit it first time up to the plate. Here’s a picture of us taken from our seats just before game time.

He hit it out to left field and it came down in the lower stands just to the right of that old four story western metel building in the back ground.

More Fortune Cookies...

This happened a while ago and we’ve been meaning to post it. We got another fortune cookie from that same place (see one of the older posts) on July 19th. And here’s what it said:









Now the due date is officially Oct. 21st but maybe it’s coming 2 days early? And again, just to keep it spooky, one of the lucky numbers on the back was “19”.

27 Weeks!

Brooke saw the doctor yesterday and he gave her a ton of paperwork to fill out. We need to sign up for a whole slew of classes (from lamaze to infant CPR) and we are going to tour the hospital. Because we may have a shared room, I may not be allowed to stay the first night with Brooke. I'm going to have to dress up as a doctor or janitor or something to sneak in. I'm giving myself about a 50% chance of pulling it off.

We feel the baby move every day and Brooke has been actually seeing it move for some time. But I just saw it tonight for the first time. She says I lack the patience to see it move but I'm not the one poking my belly saying "move baby, move!"

We're really looking forward to seeing everyone when we come home. We miss our family and friends.
