New Pictures and Update

This little guy changes every day. He has become increasingly "talkative" and certainly more aware of his surroundings.

He is kind of trying to sit up alone but he may still have a few weeks to go on that trick.

He's using his hands to touch things in front of him albeit with limited coordination at this point.

But what he really likes is when we talk directly to him and sing little songs. That always seems to elicit a big grin. I can't tell if he's laughing with me or at me?

What do you think?

They say babies aren't ticklish but I know darn well he is. Under his arms and around his belly sometimes gets him laughing out loud. It's really cute but kind of rare. I wish I could catch it on camera. Stay tuned...

We had another visit from Aunt Jill and Uncle Greg this past weekend. Parker really loves his Aunt Jill as you can see here:

Just kidding. Here they are again:

Every time I turned around, Jill had the baby.

We went out to dinner with some of Jill's colleagues.

Jill had a good time...

We made a trip to the World Famous San Diego Zoo last weekend.

Here' Parker and Mommy in front of the Polar Bear exhibit:

I guess that's enough for now. It's worth noting that Parker was technically 15 weeks old yesterday (Tuesday). I don't know if it has gone by fast or slow. 15 weeks doesn't sound like a long time but I'm having trouble remembering life before him. Odd.

Special congratulations to our good friends Robin and Sean. We've had a link up on the right to their baby blog for a while and the big day finally came on Jan. 15th. Welcome Baby Camryn! We are so excited for them. Just get through the first couple of weeks guys. The sleeping gets better after that.

I'll sign off with a few more pictures. We really want to get these posts up more often. I'll do my best.

Daddy Day Care

We know it's been awhile since the last post. The days just go by so fast. Parker had five days of Daddy Day Care this last week. I stayed home with him for Brooke's first week back at work. It was kind of tough for her but what can you do? I personally really enjoyed my time with the little stinker. I feel a lot more comfortable now with his routines and schedule. He starts daycare this week. We'll let everyone know how that goes. I have a feeling he'll be getting picked up early for the first couple of days...

Happy belated birthday to Aunt Jill. Wednesday was her birthday and I wanted to get these pictures up by then but just couldn't do it. These are a few from Christmas of Parker with his Aunt Jill and Uncle Greg. We're looking forward to seeing them both again this coming weekend when Jill's back in town for business. I'll try to get new pics up on time then.

There are a few new videos up on the YouTube link to the right. I highly recommend the one entitled 'Trying to Talk'. This is a daily occurrence now. It's pretty exciting.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Wow, what a holiday season we have had! I can’t believe its New Year’s Day already.

This is the first Christmas we’ve not gone home because Parker was just a little too small for us to be comfortable with the flight. We really missed the ones we couldn’t be with but we did have a lot of the family out and that made it seem a little more like Christmas. Since Brooke and I fly every year at this time, we know what a pain it can be so we thank everyone who made the trip.

Too much has gone on and too many pictures have been taken to go into detail. So I’ll just post some of the good ones below without comment and in no particular order. If anyone has some other good shots, email them to me and I’ll post them later.

Thanks again to everyone and we look forward to seeing those we missed next time we’re home. Hopefully in early spring.

Merry Christmas and have a safe and happy New Year!
