We're Back!

Wow, what a year this has been! We moved (again); this time into our first house. We couldn’t be happier but having a two year old, new jobs, new house, and (for those of you who don’t already know) another baby on the way; doesn’t leave much time for blogging. But we’re settling down into a routine now and hope to get this blog update more often…except now it will cover both Parker and a new baby.

Parker has grown so much. Looking back on some of the old blog posts, I can’t believe how much he’s changed. He’s become his own little person now. His vocabulary occasionally needs an interpreter (Mommy) but he knows what he wants to say. He can make choices about what he wants to eat, do, and wear. He loves books and playgrounds. He seems to fancy soccer. I’m pushing for golf! :) It’s a little early to say, but he’s showing a tendency to be left handed. I know that would make Uncle Lloyd and Uncle Johnathan happy!

Johnathan has been teaching Parker all about off-shore fishing...

So here's a run down of what we've been up to. This summer, Parker played in the yard…

Learned to drive the boat with Big Papa…

Worked on potty time…

(still working...)

And discovered bikes!

He has a little buddy living next door who’s his same age. They are only one month apart so it’s fun for them to play together.

Parker started pre-school this fall. He’s in the two-year-olds class and it’s a little more structured now. They carry backpacks to school and have more focused learning sessions (he’s learning a little Spanish and sign language). Here he is walking into school on the first day with his first backpack...

Nothing in it, he just likes wearing it!

Halloween was fun!

At the pumpkin patch, Parker had to work his way down until he found one he could actually pick up...

Brooke is due in January and she is doing well so far. This pregnancy has been a little more challenging for her but; overall, it’s going smoothly. As with Parker, we’re not finding out the sex of the baby so it will be another big surprise. We know we’re in for some more adjustments with two children but I’m getting excited about having a little baby around again. Meanwhile, we have our hands full with the little monkey.

My sister is also due with her first baby in December. We’re about to be up to our necks in babies around here! Look for pictures of Jill, Greg, and baby Tori very soon. Here’s Jill practicing...

Roxy and Willis are doing fine. They’re starting to show their age a little bit but they can still run and tussle when they want to. Just not for long!

I’ll end now with a promise to start updating often. As we get near the due date, they’ll be more to post. Hello to all of our friends and family around the country. As always, we look forward to reading your comments.

But remember, blogging is serious business…

Happy New Year!

Long time, no post!

The Holiday’s were awfully hectic but I hate to go so long without posting at least a few pictures. Not posting makes Parker angry…

I’m going to try and make up for it now by being short on words and long on photos. I will say that Parker is doing great. He’s learned to say key words (e.g. mama, dada, and bye) and some other simple phrases. But most of all, he really likes to climb. He moves step stools around the house to climb up on furniture. The other day, he was pointing at the shower curtain so I picked him up for a closer look. Well, he got a hold of the curtain rod. I had to pry his little fingers loose with one hand while holding him with the other. I honestly think I could have let him go and he would have hung there like a little monkey…laughing the whole time of course.

Here are some shots from Parker’s birthday way back in October.

Parker still loves the park.

He likes playing with his dump trucks…

But riding is even better…

I have a few videos to edit and get up on YouTube. Hopefully, I’ll find time to do that in the next week. Also, we’ve misplaced our camera so I don’t have many Christmas photos just yet. I’m sure they will turn up soon.

So, until then…

Happy Halloween!

Parker loved Halloween. He didn’t get it at first but when he saw all the other kids dressed up and running wild, he wanted out of the stroller and down on the street.

Guess what his costume was.

This one’s straight out of the cantina scene in Episode IV.

Parker was definitely the littlest trick-or-treater on the block.

He got the part about walking up to people’s houses, but the getting candy thing was lost on him.

We think he just liked being out and walking with other kids.

Later on, it got a little cold.

Roxy and Willis passed out candy while we were gone. Not really.

We know we still have a lot of birthday pictures to post but that will be a big post. Stay tuned.

But in the mean time…

May the force be with you always.
