We’re now officially relocated to Greensboro, NC. It's cold and it rains every other day. But we actually do like the area. We're living in temporary housing for the time being so it doesn't quite feel like home just yet.
But Mr. Willis has already settled in…

For the trip back last week, Brooke and Parker flew while Dad, myself, and the dogs drove across country. We took I-40 from Barstow all the way to Raleigh, retracing the exact route Brooke and I followed out there in February of 2001. It’s hard to believe seven years have gone by.
We spent 4 days and 3 nights on the road. Roxy and Willis had to get used to long days in the car and staying in hotels at night.
Here they are enjoying a hotel in Amarillo, TX.

This is our last picture taken in front of Parker's first home. This is where we took those belly shots every few weeks.

Our friends threw us a going away party the week before we left. Here are just a couple of shots from that night.

We have too many good ones to post them all so I need to get them out to everyone in SoCal some other way. I’ll put them up on snapfish or something and email folks when I do.
The drive back meant that I went almost 5 days without seeing Parker and I swear I could see the difference in him when we arrived. He is growing and developing so fast now. He reaches and grabs everything and it all goes straight to his mouth. He might be in the early stages of teething, we’ll see.
But his big thing right now is rolling over. He was doing it before we left Encinitas but only a few times. Now he won’t stay on his back much at all. He rolls right over and starts trying to get to things. He’s tucking his legs up under him and I think we might be dealing with crawling in the not too distant future. I’ll get it on film soon and post it.
UPDATE: We were able to get a couple of clips of him rolling over this morning. Here you go...
In the mean time, here are some of the latest shots.

Can't wait to see you guys! Sean and I will have to plan a trip up to see you guys once you get settled in.
and Camryn of course :)
All I can say is I love that little grandson and I'm so glad you kids are back on the east coast.

Hey Brooke and Brent! The Cali Squad is very sad you guys left and still coping. Brent - I would wager that your baby will eventually learn how to crawl, eat solid foods, talk, walk AND use the toilet on his own. This is snark-talk of course. Bitter, hate-you-for-moving snark-talk. Parker was born in Cali and he will feel her call later in life...just like me (except I was born in Jersey...and some other differences, perhaps).
Miss you and wish you all the best!

Too cute!! Boy I miss him - and you guys too! Happy Birthday Brent!
I can't believe how big Parker is, he's soooooooo cute. He's almost 6 mos. Whenever you come to California again I'll make sure to take you and Parker down to Tijuana, LOL,LOL. Hope things are getting better for you guys. We miss you.
